Wrinkle reducing treatment (BOTOX®)
BOTOX® involves a series of targeted fine injections that relax the muscles where their activity causes lines and wrinkles. Botox is the trade name for botulinum toxin used by Allergan, however there are various other brands including Dysport®, Bocuture® and Vistabel® that all work on a muscular level to block the nerve impulses that trigger wrinkle causing contractions. Botulinum toxin is considered to be one of the safest and most widely researched cosmetic products available today, when administered under medical supervision. As botulinum toxin is a prescription only drug, only fully qualified medical professionals, specifically trained in facial botulinum toxin treatments will prescribe and administer your treatment.

Dynamic lines are the lines and wrinkles caused when we frown and smile. These type of lines respond extremely well to botulinum toxin and can cause considerable improvement to the facial area. However, static lines, which are lines that are visible when the face is at rest, can respond a lot slower when treated with Botulinum toxin. In some cases were the lines are quite deep, it may be necessary to combine the Botulinum treatment with another treatment or consider an alternative treatment to gain the best results.
